Bushidokan martial arts

Jujitsu Classes

Dan Zan Ryu Jujitsu was established in the early 1900’s. It was a hybrid system, taking the best from Yoshin-ryu, Aikido, Kung-fu, Hawaiian Lua, Okinawan karate and other forms of Japanese and Chinese martial arts.  Originally the system consisted of five lists: Yawara, Nage No Kata, Shime No Kata, Oku No Kata, Shinin No Maki, and possibly Shinyo. Other lists and techniques and other  forms of martial arts such as tibetan martial arts, would later be added by Sensi Lague.

In general, as a combat oriented art students learn how to defend themselves and others using:

  • Fall Techniques
  • Strikes
  • Blocks
  • Joint locks
  • Ground Fighting
  • Holds
  • Pressure points
  • And more
